I'm new to all things android but I get around... anyways. I have owned my galaxy for 3days.
Today I wanted to find a great way to get my music and some hd videos on to the phone.
After searching the android market and googling I saw that doubletwist and Isyncer were largely remarked about but no one could answer the ''how to get my phone to mount on a mac'' question answered.
I'm on ATT..SAMSUNG CAPTIVATE (GALAXY S)
Here's what worked for me.
I had to format the external sd card (sux cuz I had some cool stuff on it) np
Then I had to set the phone's usb setting to ''mass storage''
Then selected usb debugging under ''development'' (still in the usb settings tab)
when I next connected the mac and the phone, the phone read ''usb connected'' and so I
pulled down the tab on the phone and selected the usb connected button and then a ''mount'' option appeared. I selected it and both the internal 16g and my inserted external 16g drives both showed up in my finder on the mac. And that's all folks...schwing!
From there i selected I syncr which I purchased and installed on my external 16g drive since it seemed to handle the things i was looking for in a sync app. Ran the app and watched 10gigs of info slowly but surely transfer...and now I am feeling much better about all things samsung.... so far. I was a die hard nokia fan and I didn't care for the iphone as much and I was waiting for the htc desire but all I can say is, so far..so fuccin good!
I hope this helps and if I missed a step, feel free to insert info...
as you were young jedi's.
